Director- Christa Elias

The director is responsible for the daily management and operations of the total program, public relations and communications with children and parents, the church and the community.  The director is available daily from 7:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m. - 4:30 p.m. Monday - Friday.  Later times can be made by appointment.   

Tutors-

Tutors are responsible for helping children with their homework.  In addition, our tutors send surveys to our children's school teacher at Normandy or Westerly with parent permission.  The teachers fill out the survey and send it back to our tutors.  Our tutors will then assess the needs of the child and help them in specific areas.  Areas may include flash cards, writing, reading, counting money, etc.  All tutors are degreed or are school aids familiar with the teacher's requirements. Tutors are required to receive training in CPR, First Aid, Communicable Disease and Child Abuse.  The tutors are also required to attend developmental workshops and continuing education classes on a regular basis.

Teachers- 

Our teachers are responsible for the children within their classroom.  They are responsible for supervision, attendance, daily activities and guidance for appropriate behavior.  Teachers also assist with basic homework questions.  Majority of the staff is degreed or is working on a degree.  Teachers are required to receive training in CPR, First Aid, Communicable Disease and Child Abuse.  The teachers are also required to attend developmental workshops and continuing education classes on a regular basis.
